These 2 Biedermeier chests of drawers come from first half of 19th century, approximately 1830 - 1850. They were made in Austria. Construction is made from solid coniferous wood. They have undergone a careful renovation process and are in excellent condition, both technically and visually. Ebonized wooden surface is finished with high-gloss black polish applied by hand, which in addition to an excellent visual effect, protects and nourishes wood. Each chest features three drawers, lockable with a key. All brass elements were recreated according to original with traditional cast brass method. Each chest features beautiful detail in traditional ink on wood method depicting Greek vase and floral motif of acanthus leaves which was also recreated carefully by a specialized artist. The construction is rigid and stabile. Each chest is set on four slender legs that give it extra lightness and elegance. The chests are in beautiful condition, fully functional, ready for everyday use. A beautiful set to enrich any antiques collection and add a touch of elegance to any interior.
