This exceptional bentwood bench settee was made in early 20th century and is attributed to Josef Hoffmann designed for Thonet - Mundus. This model appeared in the catalog in 1907, and was then compared to the more common J. & J. Kohn model, however you may spot some differences in details such as circular element under the armrests instead of rhombus. The structure is made of bent beech wood that was gently cleaned and refinished with high quality oil and wax, that not only protects the wood but also gives it a fine natural look and feeling. The seating was reupholstered with beautiful black and white fabric with geometric pattern and golden accents. Presented in brilliant restored condition, this settee is both stable and fully prepared for everyday use, promising not only enduring functionality but also unparalleled sophistication. Elevate your interior space with this remarkable piece, guaranteed to command attention and infuse your decor with a sense of timeless charm.
Elegant, aesthetic and at the same time free from excessive decorativeness or monumentality. These antiques, being the original decoration of home interiors, are also a perfect investment of capital.
