Rare set of two Art Deco armchairs designed by the renowned Czech designer Jindřich Halabala in the 1930s in Czechoslovakia. One of his most iconic models — H269.
The armchairs have been professionally restored and reupholstered with high-quality, thick fabric in a deep green color. All foam and internal upholstery have been replaced, while the original spring construction has been preserved in very good original condition. The original Thonet label has been retained inside the furniture.
The construction made of bent beechwood highlights the exceptional craftsmanship of Czech furniture-making. The wooden elements have been cleaned and refinished with oil, giving them a natural and elegant appearance. The armchairs are very comfortable, fully functional, and ready for everyday use.
